Is Twitter Where Connections Go to Die? – The Unfollowing Experiment – The Follow-Up
NOVEMBER 2, 2016
Indeed, while re-reading through ‘ Is Twitter Where Connections Go to Die? – One thing I can share with you all is that once I have seen the light of a much smarter way of using Twitter through public lists alone it’s rather tough to go back to anything else for that matter, so I haven’t.
Is Twitter Where Connections Go to Die? – The Unfollowing Experiment

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, invest two and a half minutes of your time here: If that’s not enough, here’s Twitter founder Jack Dorsey explaining how people and organizations are using Twitter. A month ago Marcia Conner asked me, “What’s it going to take to get you onto Twitter? “It’s the most productive learning technology I’ve ever used.
@Janetter or How I Started to Enjoy Twitter Once Again
JANUARY 10, 2012
There used to be a time when I was very much in love with Twitter. But then, after a short while, I started hating Twitter. Over the course of just a few weeks Twitter managed to destroy, in a very pernicious manner, not only the overall user experience, but the entire ecosystem as well that made it a success in the first place: Third party apps. It was through my good friend Rachel Happe that I first heard (Of course, on Twitter!)

Reframing the news
JUNE 4, 2014
Twitter isn’t it. Yes, these days it’s pro forma for news media to post notifications of stories and other editorial on Twitter, but Twitter is a closed and silo’d corporation, not an institutional convention on the order of the front page, the editorial page, the section, the insert. Most of all, Twitter is somebody else’s system. But Twitter does normalize a model that Dave Winer called a river , long before Twitter existed.
