Web 2.0 Applications in Learning

Last week I presented a session at ASTD TechKnowledge entitled eLearning 2.0 - Applications and Implications. It could just as easily have been called Web 2.0 I discussed my experience from Collaborative Learning Using Web 2.0 Spending or Wasting Time on Web 2.0 Use a Wiki instead of other approaches to creating web pages (only edited by ID/writers initially). Firewalls - You can certainly install tools behind the firewall.

Socialtext 3.0 According to the site, Socialtext 3.0 is comprised of three parts: Socialtext People - Social networking for the enterprise. Socialtext Workspace - Group-editable wiki for easy, flexible, enterprise-wide collaboration. Socialtext Dashboard - Customizable home pages that let each person decide where to focus their attention. Socialtext 3.0 came out today and geez did Twitter light up.

Finally a great E20 tool - and people play the social card!

Im only kidding about "great E20 tool" there of course) A double post by Dennis Howlett on Tibcos Tibbr and a few others by a few others led me to write this one - not many people get it, it seems Enterprise 2.0 tibbr is the poster child for Enterprise 2.0, tibbr is literally about applying Web 2.0 E20 was about technology, but very strict technology : Not examples of Enterprise 2.0 These are for individuals on the Web, not companies.
