For example, we’d walk through the Informal Learning blog to look at an RSS feed, an internal search engine, scanning the 100 most recent posts, a Creative Commons license, and so on. Managing your RSS Feeds has some good suggestions on how to do assessment in an ongoing basis using quarantine folders. RSS Readers A central tool for my information radar is my RSS reader. Since I rely on desktop search, they work okay for me.

Why Content Curation Should be in Your Skillset

Jay Cross

You expect the curator of an art gallery to know the collection and to: search out the best items. I set up a Google Search for daily news on the topic. and put in search terms and authorities to listen to. Every day I would sift through a hundred or more items suggested by my social networks or the search engines. The initial attempt to offer the curated news as RSS feeds and on blogs bombed. Curation can boost your profit and help your people grow.
