A Wiki Tribute to Stephanie McAuliffe

Beth Kanter

This post is my personal tribute – and a request to send her some good wishes on the Stephanie McAuliffe Wiki. I had the honor of getting to learn from and work with Stephanie as part of her special interest in understanding how to support the effectiveness of grantees that are networks or are working in a highly networked way. This exploration is shared on the OE wiki site known affectionately as the “see through filing cabinet.”

How Wikipedia Works and Wikis in the Enterprise - HBS

Tony Karrer

At the bottom of the article, the author interviews Andrew about the use of Wikis in the enterprise. But an encyclopedia is only one of the things you can build with wiki technology. In my experience, Wikis often start (and sometimes end) as an easier-to-use replacement for simple web publishing (an intranet that's easy-to-edit). The new way is to use a Wiki and just click the edit button. The article later discusses: Silverthorne: Have you used wikis yourself?

Social collaboration technologies such as internal instances of blogging, micro-blogging, video sharing, discussion forums, idea sharing, wikis, and so on are all key aspects of being collaborative. Six Tips for Evaluating Your Nonprofit Training Session

” While a participant survey is an important piece of your evaluation, it is critical to incorporate a holistic reflection of your workshop. This includes documenting your session, reviewing your decks and exercises, analyzing your instructional design, and figuring out how to improve it. I use a simple exercise at the end of every training session I facilitate that asks the participants to reflect on what they learned and how they will apply it.

Agile instructional design
