How to be an elearning expert

Clark Quinn

So here’s one take on how to be an elearning expert. Sure, you can host a channel: podcast, vlog, blog, but if you’re hosting other folks, you’re seen as well connected but not necessarily as the expert. So that’s my take on how to be an elearning expert.

Q&A on the Future of Social, Mobile and eLearning

Dan Pontefract

I was asked to comment on a few questions related to eLearning, social learning, etc. Imagine a Senior Vice-President who begins a weekly internal blog, discussing important ‘executive’ topics with her team or the organization, while using it as a platform to solicit feedback and ideas on said topics. What does the future of eLearning look like? I’ve always loathed the term eLearning. Many people are forced to take eLearning.

eLearning Learning

Clark Quinn

Just to note that Learnlets is now part of the blogs recorded in Tony Karrer’s eLearning Learning. Tony’s made an architecture that allows blogs and articles on a particular topic to be aggregated and searched. As part of a Personal Learning Network for those in elearning, such a searchable repository is quite useful. You can see what’s new in the center, and the blogs trolled on the right.

Top 99 Workplace eLearning Blogs

Tony Karrer

I just saw a post by Amit Garg Top 47 eLearning & Workplace Learning Blogs. His list was very similar to the list of sources that eLearning Learning includes. It made me wonder how many sources does eLearning Learning include? Please let me know if I'm missing any blogs that produce good content on eLearning and more particularly Workplace eLearning that would make sense to include. The Best Of also includes upcoming free elearning webinars.

eLearning Process Survey results!

Clark Quinn

So, a few weeks ago I ran a survey asking about elearning processes*, and it’s time to look at the results (I’ve closed it). eLearning process is something I’m suggesting is ripe for change, and I thought it appropriate to see what people thoughts. Some caveats: it’s self-selected, it’s limited (23 respondents), and it’s arguably readers of this blog or the other folks who pointed to it, so it’s a select group.

2017 eLearning Learning MVP Awards - Call for Nominations

Tony Karrer

The 2017 eLearning Learning MVP Awards have just put out their call for nominations. While I've not been active blogging (is this really my first post since 2015?), the community of bloggers continues to thrive and anything that highlights the amazing content produced by the diverse blogging community is great. So instead of the usual top blogs getting the awards, I believe a more diverse set of blogs will be recognized. eLearning Technology.

Top Ten eLearning Blogs

Tony Karrer

I was recently asked for a list of the top ten blogs that relate to corporate eLearning by someone who wanted to get a sense of content quality and value of reading blogs. I debated for a while, because I have quite a few blogs that I subscribe to and my personal style is to quickly scan a lot of blogs, selectively reading posts that I think are going to be interesting, comment on some, and post my thoughts about others. First eLearning?

Clark Quinn

This month’s Big Question from the Learning Circuit’s blog is, basically, where do you begin? Or a rapid elearning tool, but don’t put hands to a development tool ’til it’s mapped out on paper (you don’t want to prematurely converge on what the tool makes easy until you’ve figured out the best design). Of course, that begs the question: what do you already know? Design, ID, a tool, ?
