‘Social Business’ is Past Retirement Age

The single biggest group of books and articles we read, though, had to do with business as a social system. Social Network Theory, particularly Mark Granovetter’s 1973 paper “ The Strength of Weak Ties “ James MacGregor Burns’s ideas on leadership as collaboration, developed during the 1970s. “Should this movement be called ‘Social Business’ or Enterprise 2.0?’ Because business is so social, this quantum leap is a big deal.
