The continuing devaluation of LinkedIn connections

Ross Dawson

How many LinkedIn requests are you getting? LinkedIn reached 100 million users in March. It consistently grew in size and user value over the years, however now that everyone is piling on to the LinkedIn bandwagon, the value of LinkedIn personal connections and networks are decreasing at what seems like an accelerating pace. Until recently I looked at all of the LinkedIn invitations I received. It will make LinkedIn more valuable – to you, and to others.

LinkedIn Guide for Knowledge Workers

Tony Karrer

I do a lot of presentations where one of the topics is how to use LinkedIn more effectively as part of your knowledge work. In most cases, I will ask for a show of hands: How many of you have a LinkedIn Account? How many of you actively use LinkedIn? How many of you get really high value from LinkedIn? - Now down to 2-5% I am continually surprised by this result ( Getting Value from LinkedIn ). I can't remember how I could get things done without LinkedIn.
