tools. Strategies will move much slower than organizations who adopt easy to use tools and make tactical use of these tools. Off-the-shelf content companies will be moving to meet this need by emphasizing quick wins through resources. Articulate has a great tool set. Camtasia is good at screencasting.

SEPTEMBER 12, 2011 Social Learning doesn’t mean what you think it does!
We use lite tracking to ascertain useful resources. We ban access to social media resources – just to make sure. We create more performance aids (in diff formats: PDfs, screencasts, etc) than courses. Only enterprise network systems, tools and devices are to be used. We encourage the use of personal tools and devices.

DECEMBER 11, 2010 Workplace learning is like learning a second language
The more I thought about this analogy, the more it worked quite well to make my points about what workplace learning is all about and how social and collaboration tools fit in. So here is a fuller comparison. learned German at school and actually went on to study it at university. The same for workplace learning.

and not another also-ran support function’. In many cases this simply doesn’t happen and any value that may have come form a workshop
